ColumbusING doesn’t publish my comment

Yea, it was sarcastic. And not very sporting. But I left a comment a few days ago on ColumbusING's post regarding its OSU Alumni Championship Party to watch the OSU-LSU game. It wasn't mean. I just simply asked how'd the party go for them. Oh well, sorry if I offended you, ColumbusING. I know you were probably still cryING. Trust me, I've had 4 straight years of cryING after OSU beat my beloved Wolverines.

Conspiracy Theory – Shamrock Towing gets 1 hour parking in parking garage?

It's been a couple of months since I've been to the Gateway at Ohio State. Whenever I go, I park in the parking garage behind the movie theater. Correct me if I'm wrong, but did they just put in the one hour parking spots? Come on, we're in a freaking parking garage, where you pay to park. As far as I'm concerned, it should be first come first served. First thing that came to mind was that Shamrock Towing needed some business. I bet that they lost some towing business due to the ample parking available in the parking garage. So what's their solution? Lobby OSU to put in some one hour parking -- again in a freaking parking garage -- so that they can tow those over the limit. Mind you, this is just a conspiracy theory that I'm floating. But, I wouldn't be surprised if there was some truth in it. Bastards.

Word of the day – Schadenfreude

Schadenfreude Schadenfreude is a German word meaning 'pleasure taken from someone else's misfortune'. It has been borrowed by the English language and is sometimes also used as a loanword by other languages. It derives from Schaden (damage, harm) and Freude (joy); Schaden derives from the Middle High German schade, from the Old High German scado, and freude comes from the Middle High German vreude, from the Old High German frewida, from fr?, (happy). Tigertree to OSU students – Come on down

The shop owners of Tigertree recently asked on its blog, why don't more OSU students go to the Short North. They then ask what they, meaning the Short North, can do to draw more students to the Short North.

Considering that the two are very close in proximity, it does seem like a natural for OSU students to make the short trip. However, for those without cars, maybe they don't want to walk through the neighborhoods between OSU and the Short North. Now, I really don't know if that area is safe or not, but my wife tells me that it's not a very nice area. But, she lived on campus in the early 90's. Which is ages ago. Anyways, here's my idea. Pedicabs. Students ferrying students for tips. A lot of metropolitan areas have them. I've taken one in San Diego to take me from the Convention Center to the Gaslamp district. It's a pretty relaxing way to get from one place to another. And they're perfect to bridge those short, but a bit too long to walk, gap between places. I know there's a company in Columbus. I just can't remember the name of it. Anyways, that's my idea.
