While the Dispatch is courting its base, the270 remains neutral

Today, our grey guy, the Columbus Dispatch officially endorsed John McCain for President. As the Publisher of the270, I am proud to announce this blogs’ continued neutral stance. We understand the devisivness that comes with politics, and thus will not formally endorse a candidate, even though Barak Obama is the better qualified candidate. So please continue to enjoy this blog, which will never impose the views of its authors on our valuable ten or so readers.

But the270 is fun and very insightful nonetheless. It's a good read. And hey, I got your barack... errr. 'back.'

Why thank you Jennifer Not Really the Ohio Secretary of State Brunner. :) Yea, I do have a problem with spelin. ;-p
  • Jennifer X. Brunner,
I applaud your neutrality. However, there seems to be a neutral Obama 08 logo on your neutral site which might confuse rabid partisans into thinking you picked Obama over McCain. I wanted to help you avoid claims that it was the only logo on your site. I got your back, you can thank me. Also, his name is Barack. "Barak" is usually referring to Ehud Barak, a former Israeli PM. Got your back #2. Last up is that divisiveness is spelled "d-i-v..." oh never mind you get the point. Anyhow, be sure to vote early and VOTE OFTEN! Got your back 3x, yo.

That's a good question. In fact I HATE Columbus frequently for its over the top love for all things Ohio State football. We do however have a community of people that make the place worthwhile and that are trying to improve the quality of life. I'll add some more comments when I have time to your blog post: " target="_blank">http://geniuspending.blogspot.com/2008/10/at-leas...

Why does Columbus have this self-deprecating attitude? I think you're proof enough that smart people live there... but why Columbus, why must you make us all dislike you so?

Who's actually behind a newspaper endorsement? Do they run an internal poll or is it just the owners/editors/corporate sponsors opinion? Awesome job staying neutral ;) Very nice!

That's the kind of neutrality I can really get behind!
