The site combines an audio search engine with social networking, enabling users to discover and purchase music more easily. The search engine fetches music from millions of webpages, blogs, and official artist websites.I've signed up, and it seems pretty easy and intuitive. I do like the fact that you can browse the site and listen to music in the same browser session. The site must be fairly new, because it looks like I'm the 26th member of Acoustic spot. Great job Eric. I hope this venture works out for you. Hopefully you've checked out the legality of your business model. As the guys from Napster found out, life can be a bitch on the cutting edge. But it did work out well for them. Didn't it. And oh yea, one of the guys from Napster went to Michigan. So there. : ) By the way, I happened upon Acousticspot by running a search on Google for Columbus, Ohio twitterers. And found Acousticspot's twitter page.
Acousticspot social networking site for music
Columbus Ohio based Acousticspot launched recently, and was created by 18 year old Ohio State student Eric Kerr. [Aside: man what is it with these OSU students and the web. They seem to get it. Yea, but Michigan can lay claim to Google.]
