So you’ve all probably heard by now that Lloyd Carr is retiring as HC of U of M Football. But did you know that he was an avid reader? That’s how he knew of the poem above that he recited in his retirement press conference.
I have mixed emotions about Lloyd’s retirement. He is a great man that represented Michigan well. He brought us a National Championship in 1997. And he has brought us 5 Big Ten Championships. Yes, I am a Michigan alum. But as he said in his retirement press conference, he knew that he was missing some things of late. And so he retired. Mitch Albom has a great article about Lloyd. I think even you OSU fans will get something from it and come to respect him more.
