I got a call from my Mom tonight who told me that my brother had to evacuate due to the fires in San Diego.  I’m like, there’s a fire down there?  I absolutely had no idea what was going on.

So I called my brother, who sought refuge in Laguna Niguel, and he said the fires were 1/2 a mile away.  They left their house early this morning.  Luckily, they were able to get a hotel, and didn’t have to stay at a shelter.

Hopefully, they’ll be able to get back to their home soon.  I know I’ll be paying more attention to the news.  I kinda feel like the Prez during Katrina.
