The 5th annual Columbus Food & Wine Affair will be held on Friday, September 7, from 7-10 pm.
Here’s what the website says about the Affair:
In a relatively short time, the Columbus Food & Wine Affair has gained a reputation as a Mecca for culinary industry professionals as well as for foodies and wine enthusiasts. The affair showcases the finest Central Ohio chefs as well as some of the world’s most superb vintners. Columbus Food & Wine Affair underscores that the optimum in food and wines can be found right here in Columbus, reminding residents that you don’t have to go far for a dish that’s to “die for” or a glass of wine with the perfect finish.
The event will be at the Franklin Park Conservatory and costs $100 per person. Proceeds go to the following charities: Central Ohio Restaurant Association, WBNS 10TV Family Fund, Adventures for Wish Kids, and United Way of Central Ohio.
If you can’t spare the Benjamin, and you’re in the restaurant industry, they’re holding a Hospitality Trade Sneak Peak from 2-4. Cost is $5.00 and all they ask is for proof of employment, e.g. business card or pay stub.
Hmmm. I wonder if occasional food critic on the 270 and the Fine Repast qualifies as restaurant industry employment. ; )
