One of central Ohio’s true par 5′s is the fourth hole at Bridgeview Golf Course. It lay in wait for me on an unseasonably warm mid-December’s day when I took this shot. Despite playing it hundreds of times, I’ve only reached it in two on one occasion and that didn’t really count. You see, I duffed my first shot into that pond in front of the tee. I was so pissed that I slammed my second drive to the bottom of the hill some 340+ (allegedly) yards away and hit on with a three iron. Not bad – putting for par despite tanking the first shot. Refusing to be made a mockery of, the fourth would not let me escape with par on that day. For that matter, I think I’ve only birdied the darn thing twice. Besides the fourth hole, Bridgeview has a great deal. One year of M-F golf for $299. Check it out.
If you go, leave your driver in the bag on number 4 and tell Will that I said hello.
